Out of hire kit for good.
The first kit a batter owns should not fight them. These pads run three bolstered bars over sewn cane — enough to take a rap on the front pad without the dead weight that turns a quick single into a scramble.
The gloves are split-finger and properly sewn, so the hand rides the ball rather than jarring against it. Matched, sized youth to adult, and light enough to wear all innings — the set that ends the borrowing.
Vouched for.
What players said.
“First proper set of my own and the gap to the tatty club bag is enormous — light pads, and gloves that actually fit my fingers instead of flapping about.”
“Took a couple flush on the pad from a quick and barely felt them. Gloves stay comfortable through a long dig and the whole lot packs down into the sleeve neatly.”
Frequently bought together.

Before you strap up.
What's in the set?
A matched pair of batting pads and a pair of gloves, sized together so you're kitted from the crease up in one go. The straightforward answer to walking out properly protected without pricing up a full bag.
Right or left hand?
Order for your top hand as you stand at the crease — a right-handed batter takes the right-hand set. Get it wrong and the reinforced thumb ends up on the wrong side, so double-check before you add to bag.
How should the pads sit?
Top strap just below the knee roll, snug but not cutting off the run — you want to sprint a quick single, not waddle it. The gloves should be firm across the palm with the fingers reaching the ends.
Are they good enough for a hard ball?
Yes — the pads are cane-and-foam bolstered where the ball hits and the gloves have proper high-density protection over the fingers and thumb. Club-grade kit built to take a genuine seamer.
